Evangela Michael

ClinD Psychology student

I’m a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research, having started my training in 2025. I’m currently completing a year-long specialist placement in a Community-Based Neurorehabilitation team. Before starting my doctorate, I worked across outpatient and inpatient neuropsychology services, adult autism and ADHD diagnostic services, and with the Stroke Association.
As part of my DClinPsy research, I’m currently exploring the psychological impact of unilateral neglect following stroke. I’m interested in the cognitive and psychological consequences of neurological conditions, particularly changes in attention, awareness and perception, and what these changes can teach us about the relationship between brain function and behaviour. Following qualification, I hope to pursue a career as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, combining clinical practice with research, to help inform neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for those living with acquired neurological conditions and their families.
