I am a postdoctoral researcher funded by a Stroke Association Postgraduate Fellowship awarded in August 2024, and was previously a research assistant and DPhil student in the lab. My general interests are in how we measure cognition following stroke. This involves investigating whether a test does actually measure what we intend it to measure, and whether it gives us a reliable index of someones cognitive status at a particular time point and beyond. The core aim of my research centres around validation of cognitive impairment screening tools to provide a greater evidence-base for clinical decision making in the context of stroke impairment screening.
