John is a student on the MSc Psychological Research degree and practicing psychotherapist specialising in online therapy. His research focuses on interventions for depression and low mood in people post-stroke. This involves investigating the efficacy of different versions of behavioural activation therapeutic techniques, exploring whether certain features make the interventions better or worse at increasing activity in daily life and positively changing mood. His research takes place predominantly online which is in line with his aspirations for making depression and mental health interventions generally, as accessible as possible to people who need them.
